Professional profile
Maggie provides professional support that engages with and works alongside educators and school communities. Maggie’s appreciative coaching based approach supports school leaders and teachers as well as schools’ leading and teaching teams to further develop and realise their capabilities to improve teaching and learning to benefit all learners.
Through coaching conversations Maggie works in partnership with the coachee(s) that enables them to perceive and to articulate clearly how they might progress and grow in their educational leadership growth to positively impact on all learners in the context of their learning communities.
In addition, Maggie facilitates workshops both onsite and virtually that align with this belief within and across schools in Australia, New Zealand and internationally.
A research-practitioner Maggie brings over 30 years’ experience in primary education as teacher and principal in mainstream and special schools to this work and the role she contributes to Pelican Coaching.
Maggie is a Director of CLARITY Learning Suite Global and together with her colleagues and fellow Directors Lyn Sharratt and Sue Walsh, she delivers Professional Development in learning, teaching and leading internationally.

- Principal, Deputy Principal and Assistant Principal Professional Growth Cycles;
- Facilitating professional development programmes within and across schools;
- Organising day conferences to provide professional development for school leadership teams and teachers;
- Facilitating Professional Learning Groups for Senior Leaders to support a further increase in their professional knowledge and capabilities.
- Coaching schools through successful implementation of the CLARITY Learning Suite.

As a Leadership Coach I work hard to gain the respect of the community in which I serve. I am reflective, ensuring that services are informed and aligned with current best practice.
